We acknowledge the needs of the insurance intermediary for continuous education and training, his need for more sales and the approach of new markets, by supporting him with properly trained and experienced human resources and technological solutions.

Cromar maintains international partnerships, through Coverholder Appointment Agreements, for the provision of general insurance products with Lloyd’s market, TOKIO MARINE EUROPE & AXA XL. The products it creates are adapted to the Greek market and cover the needs of individuals and businesses.

For the provision of insurance solutions in the highly specialized marine insurance sector, CROMAR maintains a long-term partnership with TOKIO MARINE GROUP and in particular with TOKIO MARINE EUROPE, for the distribution of insurance products for residents of the European Union.

We also offer innovative insurance products for technology companies through CFC Underwriting, a provider specializing in this type of insurance.

Cromar’s partnerships are based on Binding Authorities Agreements with selected and highly rated insurance companies. Through these agreements, the insurance companies (Lloyd’s Insurance Company SA, Tokio Marine Europe and AXA XL), provide Cromar as an intermediary to create products to underwrite risks and provide product distribution and loss management services on their behalf.

The intermediary holding the Binding Authority is known as the Coverholder. The Coverholder shall have the right to underwrite risks, issue contracts and manage losses, always subject to the Binding Authority it has entered into. Cromar acts solely and exclusively as an Authorized and Recognized Coverholder for the insurance markets we have Binding Authority with. Therefore and given that we do not have the status of an Insurer but of an Intermediary, our responsibility is limited to the exact observance of the powers conveyed to us through the Coverholder Appointment Agreement with the Unique Reference Number listed in the Insurance Table and we do not bear any criminal liability or civil liability for losses or damages of any kind arising from the Insurer’s status, a liability borne by the respective insurance company.

We are Intermediaries and maintain Coverholder Appointment Agreements with insurance companies. We are audited annually by independent auditors and the results of the audits are submitted to the above insurance companies with whom we hold Coverholder Appointment Agreements. In addition, we send reports on a regular basis to the said insurance companies.

Also, as intermediaries we are under the supervisory authority of the Bank of Greece.

For the insurance products for which we hold a Binding Authority, Cromar may handle and compensate all damages.

Cromar has an experienced Claims Management Team which has handled more than 2,500 cases in the last five years (2016-2021). Their average payment time is 5 days from the moment the claim file is finalized.
